The ISBT, is an opportunity for transfusion professionals and not only, to confront each other. It promotes and stimulates colleagues around the world to continuous research and best practices in the field of transfusion and in the work of blood donors and patients.

This 2020 International Congress inteded to give response to the nowadays needs of Worldwide Transfusion Professionals.

Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 the event took place online. However, this was a chance to get involved in one of the first ever virtual congress, accessible to all transfusion professionals worldwide.

In correlation with what was discussed during this conference, it was published the abstract relevant to the system scweb®: “Innovative technology supporting active traceability: the “vein to vein process” in blood transfusion”.
